Leeds United teenage sensation Ronaldo Vieira is being tracked by German side RB Leipzig, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Vieira has established himself as a regular in the Leeds first-team this season after making his debut on the final day of last season against Preston North End.

The all-action midfielder has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Leeds so far this season and he is becoming a key member in Garry Monk’s plans.

Vieira -whose twin brother Romario is also on Leeds’ books – is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the country after impressing at Elland Road.

The 18-year-old joined Leeds 15 months ago after impressing on trial at the Championship club and his progress at Elland Road was rewarded with a new three-year deal in September.

Vieira’s form and development has not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football ladder with several Premier League sides keeping tabs on him, but HITC Sport understands surprise Bundesliga title hopefuls RB Leipzig are closely monitoring the teenager.

RB Leipzig are scouring for the best young talent in Europe and Vieira has emerged on their radar in recent months.

RB Leipzig have a history of scouting young talent from England having signed Oliver Burke from Nottingham Forest in the summer, and they could test Leeds’ resolve to keep hold of Vieira if they firm up their interest in the midfielder.
