Verratti's club, Paris Saint-Germain, were linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli this week.
Interestingly, there has been no official mention anywhere of Tottenham's interest in the diminutive playmaker, although the Daily Mirror reported earlier this month that PSG have taken a liking to White Hart Lane star Dele All - and a swap deal could perhaps be on the cards.

There would be little reason for Spurs to target Verratti otherwise, with Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Alli all capable of playing in the 24-year-old's position.
And having signed a new five-year deal earlier this year, it would appear that Verratti is not going anywhere in a hurry.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Chelsea are confident of signing him for less than £40 million.
The former Pescara player is well known to Blues boss Antonio Conte, who also managed him at international level.
