Villa currently have several former first-team players out on loan.

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has revealed, as reported by the Birmingham Mail, that he has not even considered attempting to bring back any of the club's loaned-out stars in January.

Villa will be looking for reinforcements in next month's transfer window, with several players expected to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations in the new year.

They currently have a trio of established senior stars out on loan, with Jordan Veretout, Carles Gil and Carlos Sanchez spending this season at Saint-Etienne, Deportivo La Coruna, and Fiorentina respectively.

Talking in his press conference ahead of Sunday's trip to QPR, Bruce insisted that he has not even considered the possibility of a recall for the exiled trio.

Bruce said, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail: "I think they’re done until the end of the season and if I’m being brutally honest, I haven’t even looked at that option yet.

"We have Tommy Mooney (head of loans) who gives me a report back. He keeps me updated every week but I don’t think it’s an option I’ll be looking into."

The Birmingham Mail's report claims that the none of the three players even have a recall option, so it appears though it would not be a possibility for Bruce even if he was so inclined.

However, it sounds as though he has no interest in the trio anyway, and will instead look to bring in new faces next month.
