Sky Sports pundit predicts Queens Park Rangers vs Aston Villa

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton makes a prediction for Queens Park Rangers vs Aston Villa.

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has labeled Aston Villa's game away to QPR on Sunday as a must win for Steve Bruce's men, as far as their aspirations of a top-six finish are concerned, when writing his column for Sky Sports.

Although there has been a substantial improvement in both performances and result since Bruce arrived at Villa Park in October, there have been a couple of minor setbacks over the past couple of weeks, with defeats away from home at Leeds United and Norwich City respectively.

The Hoops have been on an awful run of form of late, and even the arrival of Ian Holloway has failed to address their slide, with the West London outfit picking up just one win from the five games he has been in charge.

And Prutton highlighted the importance of Sunday's game for Villa at Loftus Road, when writing his column for Sky Sports:

"My gut feeling is we'll see a reaction from Aston Villa. After a great unbeaten start from Steve Bruce, the last few games have been a bit of a reality check. There was a nice confidence about the place that they would be steadily rising the table, but if they really have top six aspirations, they've got to look at a QPR team who, having lost the last four must be short of confidence, and look to get three points."

Prediction: 1-2

After two defeats in their least three outings, Villa now sit seven points adrift of six-placed Leeds, and will be desperate to bring all three points back to the Midlands on Sunday.

It will not be an easy task, however, with QPR fighting for their Championship lives, as they sit precariously just three points clear of the relegation zone.
