HITC Sport understood Belotti was a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, who were considering a move for the striker in January.
Liverpool were also prominently interested in Belotti, CalcioMercatoWeb had reported earlier this season.
Belotti has scored 10 goals this season for Torino and is the second highest scorer in Serie A behind Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi.

There is more bad news for Tottenham, Liverpool, and any more Premier League suitors, with a huge release clause inserted in Belotti's new deal.
Speaking at a press conference reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Torino president Urbano Cairo declared Belotti now has a 100 million Euros release clause, applicable only to foreign clubs.
He said: "I am pleased to tell you that we have renewed the contract with our Belotti until 2021 and we put a release clause, only for foreign countries, 100 million."
This works out at £84 million, a fee which would be the third most expensive in world football history. Do not expect to see Belotti moving any time soon.
