Pundit Tony Cottee has told Sky Sports Soccer Saturday that he thinks West Ham signings such as Simone Zaza, Gokhan Tore and Jonathan Calleri are simply not good enough.
The Hammers picked up a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, as Diafra Sakho's opener was cancelled out by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's header.

West Ham were looking for a win to boost their season, given that they are hovering precariously above the relegation zone, with just three wins from their first 13 games this season, but a point at least takes them above Crystal Palace into 16th.
Manager Slaven Bilic will be hoping to pick up some more points before the end of the year, but it's clear that West Ham's summer signings haven't had the desired effect.

West Ham landed the likes of Arthur Masuaku, Alvaro Arbeloa, Havard Nordtveit, Edimilson Fernandes, Sofiane Feghouli, Gokhan Tore, Andre Ayew, Ashley Flecher, Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri, but Bilic has seen barely any production out of them so far.
On Saturday, former West Ham striker and current pundit Tony Cottee spoke to Sky Sports about those summer signing, suggesting that the players brought in have been 'terrible' after some great transfer business in 2015, when the Hammers brought in players like Dimitri Payet, Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio.
Cottee suggested that striker Zaza – still without a goal since signing from Juventus in August – hasn't been enough, whilst winger Tore isn't fit enough to play and questioned just who decided it was a good idea to sign him.
Cottee also slammed striker Calleri given that he has also yet to score for West Ham, but did have some praise for Ashley Fletcher, claiming that he has some potential, but needs to be given more playing time.
“Zaza has not been good enough,” said Cottee. “Tore isn't fit and hasn't been good enough. I really don't know who is in charge of signings, I don't know where he's come from, but he's just not good enough. They've signed 10 or 12 players, and as good as they were in the transfer market last year – they were fantastic – this year, the signings have been terrible. Calleri also hasn't been good enough, hasn't scored a goal. Ashley Fletcher is probably the only one who has shown a little bit of potential, but he hasn't played enough games,” he added.
