Celtic will take on Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen at Hampden Park in the final of the Scottish League Cup in a few hours’ time.
Former Celtic striker Hartson has suggested that Patrick Roberts should start for the Bhoys.
Roberts, who is 19 yeas of age and plays as a winger, joined the Glasgow giants on loan from Premier League giants Manchester City in January 2016.
Hartson has also suggested that Celtic striker Moussa Dembele will be a key player in the match.
Dembele, who is 20 years of age, has been in good form for the Bhoys so far this season following his arrival at the club in the summer transfer window.
“He’s a player I like a lot but he’s crying out for a run,” Hartson wrote about Roberts in The Scottish Sun. “I know James Forrest is ahead of him in the pecking order but Roberts has always looked lively whenever he’s played.
“It will also be a big game for Moussa Dembele. With Leigh Griffiths missing the last few games it would probably be too much to ask to bring him straight back in.
“Dembele missed a big chance against Barcelona when he had a great opportunity with a header.”
Celtic will head into the match against Aberdeen as favourites and should be able to win.
Aberdeen will not be intimated and an early goal for them is certainly going to boost their chances.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 34 points from 12 matches.
