Speaking to the media ahead of his side's crucial game against Manchester United on Sunday, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic highlighted the key role that Winston Reid has played in the side, following their change of system, as quoted by the club's official Twitter account.

The New Zealand international is highly regarded at West Ham, and has been one of the few Hammers players to have emerged from the opening three months of the campaign with any kind of credit for the way in which he has performed.

And Bilic offered praise for the 28-year-old, when speaking at his pre-match press conference, highlighting how important he has been during their formation switch, as quoted by the club's official Twitter account:

"Winston Reid has been great since we changed our system, as part of three centre-backs, but we have other players we can use in that system too."

With the precarious position that the Hammers currently find themselves in, the run of fixtures they face over the next two weeks is enough to send a shiver down the spine of even the most ardent of West Ham fans.

With this in mind, Bilic has to find a way of instilling a sense of belief back into his side.

They need to play with more tactical discipline than they have displayed over recent weeks, particularly during the last quarter of the game against Spurs.

And a win at Old Trafford would certainly help the confidence flood back into the West Ham side.
