Speaking to reporters ahead of his side's game tomorrow, Rangers striker Kenny Miller explained the importance of putting together a winning run of at least four games, starting with a victory over Patrick Thistle, as quoted by the club's official website.

The Gers have struggled to keep pace with bitter rivals Celtic so far this season, and currently sit in third position in the Scottish Premiership table - a distant 11 points behind the Hoops, having played a game more than Brendan Rodgers' men.

And Miller, who has scored three goals in 13 league appearances for Mark Warburton's men this season, highlighted the need for Rangers to embark on a winning run, as quoted by Rangers.co.uk:

"We got a good win last week, and we definitely need to back it up. If we're going to have any kind of success and have a good league position come the end of the year, we're going to have to put a run of wins together. We need to put a good four or five game winning streak together, and what a fantastic opportunity to go and do it over the next four or five games."

Following tomorrow's game at Patrick Thistle, the Glasgow giants have an extremely tricky looking set of fixtures, with a game at home to Aberdeen sandwiched by two clashes against Edinburgh side Hearts.

With Celtic far and away the best side in the division, a realistic target for Rangers, for this season at least, will be to finish in second place, and to do that, they will need to start winning games with more regularity.
