Sandro Ramirez celebrates a goal
Tottenham Hotspur scouts are hot on the trail of a number of forwards across Europe having been asked to find one for January, HITC Sport understands.
HITC Sport has learned that Mauricio Pochettino feels his squad need another front-line striker to compete with Harry Kane and misfiring summer signing Vincent Janssen.
And HITC Sport understands that the man at the top of their list for January, is somewhere they are already very aware of in the shape of Spaniard Sandro Ramirez.
Ramirez has proved himself at Malaga, as he is currently one of the top scorers in La Liga.
The 21-year-old Ramirez has bagged five goals in ten starts, and Spurs scouts - who have continued to track him - have reported back with glowing references.
Harry Kane's recent absence due to injury highlighted how light Spurs remain in the striking department and now a new move for Ramirez is under consideration. They would have to pay £15million plus to land him, although Spurs do believe his value could be double that in the summer if he continues progressing as he has.
Anthony Modeste scores the first goal for FC Cologne
22-year-old Belotti is the top scorer in Serie A this season with ten goals to his name already this campaign, carrying on from last term when he hit 12 goals in the top-flight.
Frenchman Modeste, 28, had a brief spell with Blackburn Rovers in 2011 but he has been one of the most potent strikers in Germany in recent years and he has been in good form this term with 12 already to his name.
