Southampton are said to be keen on the young Danish left-back.
The 17-year-old spent last week visiting St Mary’s, where he trained with the under-18s and the under-23s and played a match for the former, helping the side to a clean sheet in the process.
But although Southampton’s interest is clear, his current club manager Bo Henriksen has confirmed that they are far from the only club interested in his services.
“It is not only Southampton,” he told tipsbladet.dk. “It is most clubs, not only in Denmark but throughout Europe because he plays for the under-18 national team.”
Given his talent that will come as no surprise to Southampton, but if their manager Claude Puel was impressed by what he saw last week he may have to move quickly to secure a deal for the young full-back.
Sorensen has appeared 17 times for his current club AC Horsens and at just 17 the Danish defender already looks set for a very bright future in the game.
The question is: Will that be at Southampton or elsewhere?
