Leeds United are currently in seventh place in the Championship table.
Rotherham United boss Kenny Jackett has praised Garry Monk's transfer business at Leeds United, through his comments to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Monk was active in the summer transfer window at Leeds, bringing in new players in every position.
The Whites have certainly benefitted from Monk’s transfer dealings, with the signings of Pontus Jansson, Luke Ayling and Pablo Hernandez being particularly effective.
And Jackett believes that Leeds now have a chance of being promoted this season, as they have so much quality in their squad.
"The players Garry’s signed have been very good and made a difference," he said. "Like a high number of clubs in the Championship they’re expecting to get into the Premier League. It’s a competitive league but Leeds are one of the sides this season who have a chance.
“Garry’s an excellent manager with a good track record. It’s early for him but so far at Leeds it’s been a very good job."
Jackett was speaking ahead of his Rotherham side’s match against Leeds this weekend.
The Millers are set to host their Yorkshire rivals at the New York Stadium, and they will be desperate for the three points.
Rotherham are currently sat at the bottom of the Championship table, after a terrible start to the campaign.
Leeds, meanwhile, are in seventh place and Monk’s side could move up into the play off spots if they are able to pick up the victory on Saturday.
