The Sun reports that Sam Allardyce and Chris Coleman are in the frame to replace Alan Pardew as Crystal Palace manager.

Pardew’s job is claimed to be under threat should Palace lose to bottom club Swansea City on Saturday, which would make it six defeats in a row.

The Eagles already have the worst record of any club in England’s top four divisions this calendar year, taking 22 points from their 31 fixtures, although they came close to winning the FA Cup in May.

Former England manager Allardyce and Wales boss are said to be under consideration as Palace seek alternatives to Pardew, who has been in charge of the club for which he played for four years since January 2015.

Allardyce left his Three Lions post by mutual consent in September following the Telegraph’s investigation into bungs in football, but has an impressive track record in club football, having never been relegated as a boss.

Coleman, on the other hand, is another former Palace player, and was briefly a teammate of Pardew in 1991. The 46-year-old led Wales to the semi-final of Euro 2016 – their first major tournament in 58 years – but is under contract until 2018.
