Potential Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani keeps fuelling the rumour mill.
Leeds United appear set for a new beginning, with Italian business mogul Andrea Radrizzani set to take the helm.
He is negotiating buying a majority stake in the club from current owner Massimo Cellino, Italian website Calciomercato reported last week.
Radrizzani commented on Twitter yesterday suggesting the deal is far from done yet, but was edging closer.
While not explicitly referring to the purchase of a football club, the insinuation was clear.
Yet a look at his Twitter ‘likes’ in replies to his tweet, shows that is exactly what he is referring to.
One of the messages Radrizzani ‘liked’ was a comment from a fan urging another to have patience, as buying a football club is far from straightforward.
Radrizzani’s wealth is not known, but he is the co-founder of media rights company MP & Silva, who negotiate television rights for the NFL in Europe and Serie A in Italy, among their clients.
MP & Silva is also majority owned by a Chinese consortium as of this June, adding even further intrigue to his planned takeover of Leeds United.
