Everton are keen on signing a forward in the January transfer window.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton have begun scouting Ajax forward Kasper Dolberg ahead of the January transfer window.
Dolberg has attracted the attentions of a number of clubs across Europe through his performances for Ajax this season, and Everton are the latest to make a check on the striker.
The 19-year-old has impressed after scoring seven times in 15 matches for the Dutch giants.
Ajax are keen to keep hold of Dolberg, but they realise that they do not have the financial power to compete if some of the Premier League’s big hitters come in for the prized prospect.
Ajax are believed to be hoping to receive around £30 million for the forward, which would represent a significant profit on a player they signed from Silkeborg only last year.
Whether Everton will be willing to meet Ajax’s asking price remains to be seen, but there is interest from Ronald Koeman.
The Dutch manager is keen to bring in a forward in January, and Dolberg is one of a number of targets currently being assessed by the Merseyside club.
Everton have a lack of options beyond Romelu Lukaku up-front, meaning adding a striker is one of Koeman's priorities during the upcoming transfer window.
