Wednesday’s Fernando Forestieri is struggling for form in his second season at Hillsborough.
Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws has submitted his theory regarding Fernando Forestieri’s change of fortunes this season.
Forestieri scored 15 goals for the Owls last term, helping them to a sixth-placed finish before losing out to Hull City for a place in the Premier League.

This season, however, the Italian has appeared on the scoresheet just three times, and has often been left out of Carlos Carvalhal’s starting lineups.
He was previously forced to apologise after refusing to travel for August’s Championship encounter with Norwich City, later insisting it was never his intention to leave Hillsborough.
But speaking on Sheffield Live TV on Thursday, Laws suggested that Forestieri may have been hiding the truth.
“Forestieri has had 10 clubs in 10 years,” he said. “Never really stayed.

“I don’t know what it is but he seems to have lost that drive that he had last year. He’s an excellent player, though, I think he’s one of the best in the division.”
To be fair to Forestieri, he has only been employed by four of those 10 clubs, appearing for the other six on loan.
In addition, Wednesday have tweaked their system somewhat this season, and opposing sides have often left little space for the likes of himself to operate in.

At the same stage last season, the Argentine-born forward had scored five goals in 10 Owls appearances.
