Under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s talented starlets are guaranteed a chance to impress.

Jurgen Klopp can do no wrong at Anfield. Whether it be jovially prodding a wounded Jose Mourinho or inspiring Liverpool to the top of the Premier League via some of the most exhilarating, swashbuckling attacking football in the club’s recent history, there is an empty chapter in the history books waiting to be filled with tales of glory and guffaws under the charismatic German.

Klopp just ‘gets’ Liverpool. He knows what makes them special and, what’s more, he is determined to embrace it, rather than merely shy away from the responsibility it requires. Liverpool is not just a club blessed with great players, it is a club who makes great players, transforms fans into legends and immortalises them, from Ian Rush to Steven Gerrard, in a state of constant exaltation. Rather than sit back and admire the legacy, Klopp wants to enhance it.

Therefore, giving new contracts to the leading lights of the club’s next generation is a good place to start. Kevin Stewart, a composed, reliable ball player, has gone from endless loans to the fringes of the first team since Klopp’s arrival. Meanwhile, the fans have clamoured for prodigious attacker Ben Woodburn and athletic starlet Trent Alexander-Arnold to be given a chance to shine sooner rather than later.

And, with Stewart (below) and Alexander-Arnold committing their future until 2021, Woodburn till 2019, Klopp has once again gifted the fans their wish.
