Crystal Palace currently sit in 16th position int he Premier League table after a woeful run of results.
Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke has explained how important it is for the players to stick together and fight their way through their awful recent run of form that has seen them lose four consecutive league games, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Following their 3-2 win at Sunderland in September, the Eagles have managed to pick up just a single point from their five Premier League outings, and have subsequently fallen from 7th to 16th position in the table.

Benteke spoke to reporters following his side’s 3-2 defeat at Burnley over the weekend, and explained how it is now more than important than ever for his Palace side to fight together as a group if they are to reverse their recent poor run, as quoted by cpfc.co.uk:
“The Premier League is the strongest league in the world. Anything can happen in games and we have seen that again but we need to work hard and for the players the only way is to carry on and keep fighting to turn things around.”

Losing runs are something that Eagles fans are becoming more familiar with than they would like over the past year or so, after losing five straight Premier League games last term, and going 12 games without a win towards the end of their campaign.
The two week international break has probably come at a good time for Alan Pardew and his team, who will now have to redouble their efforts in training in a bid to climb their way up the table.
It doesn’t get any easier for Palace though, next up – a home game against Manchester City.
