Leeds United won against Norwich City in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told BBC Sport that his side’s performance against Norwich City was the best since he joined the club.

Jansson moved to Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Torino in the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old centre-back has established himself in the Whites’ first team and has been playing quite well this season.

The Sweden international featured in Leeds’s Championship game against Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.

Jansson started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and the defender has stated that the performance of the team was the best since he joined in August.

“That was a special feeling,” Jansson told BBC Sport. “The first goal since I've come - it was a special moment, an important goal.

“If you asked me, that was the best performance since I've come to the club - we created chances, looked really good today offensively.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon, hosts Norwich had 52% of the possession, took 17 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Leeds had 48% of the possession, took 21 shots of which nine were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.

Leeds are sixth in the Championship table at the moment with 26 points from 16 matches, while Norwich are currently fifth with 27 points.
