The England international expressed his reasons for deciding to head to the south coast instead of Milan

Jack Wilshere told the Daily Mail his reasons for opting to join Premier League newbies Bournemouth over European supremos AC Milan.
The Arsenal academy graduate, who joined the Gunners at the tender age of nine, is currently plying his trade on the south coast as he tries to re-establish himself.
Since his breakthrough season at the club as a 16-year-old, Wilshere has suffered several long-term injuries already in his career that have led to him falling down the pecking order of midfielders at the Emirates.

The 24-year-old has only donned an Arsenal shirt five times since May 2015 and managed a paltry 141 minutes of league action last campaign because of knocks that he picked up.
Though, this season has been markedly different as Wilshere as been a stalwart in Eddie Howe’s plans and has started seven of the eight games since arriving at the Vitality Stadium.
Wilshere has said that choosing to move to Bournemouth was an easy decision as though Milan took an interest a firm offer never materialised.
“Milan sent an email by all accounts,” he said, via the Mail.
“They said to come over but there was nothing firm in the offering. And I thought I’m not going to come over if there’s nothing really doing.”

He also states that a big desire of his was to get away from London to get a new, fresh start.
“But a big part of me wanted to get away from it all, get away from London. And Eddie Howe was great. Straight away he talked about the things he thought I could improve on and stuff like that and I agreed with him.
“And what I liked was the fact that, even when they are struggling, Bournemouth never shy away from wanting to play football.
“Once I’d spoken to Eddie I made my mind up. There was something about him that made me feel I wanted to work with him.”
