Four years after it first launched, Twitter has announced the closure of Vine. The device lets people share six-second-long video clips that play in a loop.
Vine is a much-loved app used by users to create short and funny video clips and is heavily used by Premier League clubs. Much to the amusement of football fans over the years, vine has played a part in capturing the humour and best moments from the game.
Here are some of Everton's most memorable Vines in recent history:
Roberto Martinez Scouse accent
A post-match interview with former Everton manager Roberto Martinez had fans noticing a difference in the Spaniard' accent. When talking about a certain 'centre half' the former manager had picked up a similar sounding scouse accent.
'What a manager'
Following Everton's 3-0 victory against Arsenal in April 2014, Chairman Bill Kenwright was asked about his thoughts on former manager Roberto Martinez. Kenwright was full of praise using the words 'what a manager' to describe the Spaniard.
Kenwright was right at the time as Everton finished fifth with their highest ever points in the league. Fast forward to the nightmare of last season, Kenwrights words were reused in a comedy vine mocking Martinez’ disastrous previous two seasons at Goodison.
Aaron Lennon's move to Everton
When Aaron Lennon joined Everton in January 2015 on loan from Tottenham, the first pictures of Lennon holding an Everton shirt went viral. Judging by the wingers face, he didn't look too pleased to be joining the Blues.
