Following the poor tenure of Alan Stubbs, Rotherham United fans are hoping for pastures greener with new manager Kenny Jackett at the helm. Despite a disappointing first game against Reading, Jackett has the experience necessary to help the Millers out of their current situation in the Championship.

As reported by The Star, Jackett has stated that he is in no rush whatsoever in regards to deciding whether or not he needs extra coaching staff at the New York Stadium.

The 54-year-old has already brought in Joe Gallen as his number two at the Yorkshire club, with many people curious as to whether or not he will add any others to his staff. Jackett himself has stated that he is taking his time over making the decision.

The backroom staff, the likes of Paul Warne (fitness coach) and Andy Dibble (goalkeeping coach), I imagine would stay the same,” he said to The Star.

“My first impressions of them are that they are good at their job. They are committed to the club. I don’t anticipate any problems.

“Another coach is maybe something we look at. Paul Warne is an ex-player and I want to make sure I tap into that. It’s too early to judge.”

The club are ironically looking for a new head of recruitment, which is a process in which Jackett will also play a part in the decision making.

Having steadied the ship at teams like Millwall and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the past, Millers fans will have high expectations regarding what Jackett can do for the club in their time of need.
