Stoke City are willing to include Bojan Krkic as a makeweight for their prospective January move for Zenit midfielder Axel Witsel, according to TMW.
The 26-year-old joined Stoke from Barcelona two years ago after a number of failed loan spells around the continent.
The Potters seemed an odd match, but the Spanish forward has done quite well under Mark Hughes, though injuries have curtailed his progress to some extent.
City were linked with a move for the Belgium international for much of the summer, as were Everton, though the midfielder ended up staying in Russia.
But with his contract set to expire next summer, Witsel might well end up leaving Zenit in January as the Russian side look to avoid losing him for free.
And TMW have reported that Stoke will renew their interest come winter, and the Italian publication claims that Hughes will throw Bojan into the mix.
On the face of it, Bojan does not seem the type of character who would relish life in Russia, but who knows.
He has scored 12 times during his two years in the Premier League.
The report from Italy also claims that Juventus are interested in Witsel.
