Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has told Goal that he is learning a lot from Belgium coach Thierry Henry.

Henry joined the Belgian setup earlier this summer as part of new manager Roberto Martinez’s backroom setup.

Everton fans, in particular, were excited about the appointment, hoping that the legendary Premier League striker can help their man take his game to the next level.

So far the Frenchman seems to have had a positive effect, with the Blues forward on target in both of their World Cup qualifying victories so far.

And speaking after the win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lukaku told Goal he thinks that Henry is teaching him a lot.

"I think he [Henry] teaches me a lot. He is very direct with me," Lukaku told reporters after the match.

"I know what I'm doing well when I am doing something wrong he tells me as well. I am very pleased with his help here.”

"I think he helps us, the strikers, and also the team to have a certain concentration when we are on the pitch. He's won it all so when someone like him talks, you listen.”

It will now be interesting to see if Henry’s presence does have a positive effect on Lukaku moving forward.

Given the Frenchman’s own record in the Premier League, there is arguably nobody better to teach the Belgian forward how to take his game to that next level.

Everton will certainly be hoping that he can do so, with the Blues heavily reliant on Lukaku to get them their goals this season.
