Telling the difference between twins can often be a stressful exercise, but for one lucky fan it turned out to be a profitable venture.

The rise of Josh and Jacob Murphy is something that has been much discussed in the media as one of the key reasons why people are confident of Norwich City's success this season.

They have lit up the Championship with their displays so far this campaign, and many people have been cashing in on that quality with bets. As reported by BBC Sport, one punter in particular got rather lucky with one of his selections in particular.

Football fan Ashley Howell decided to put £10 on Josh Murphy to score in the Canaries' game against Burton Albion at the weekend. What he intended to do, however, was put the money on Jacob to score instead. Fortunately for Mr Howell, Paddy Power made a similar mistake and paid out on the bet despite the wrong brother scoring.

He said: "I thought, I'll put a 'tenner' on that. Then when I looked back I realised I had put the money on Josh Murphy accidentally.

"But then Paddy Power had also got confused and paid out on Josh Murphy.

"I managed to keep quiet about it until Sunday but then my conscience got the better of me, so I contacted Paddy Power to explain what had happened.

"They said due to the fact I had been so honest they've let me keep the winnings anyway."

An embarrassing error by all involved, but a kind gesture for the betting company to allow him to keep his winnings from the bet. This is likely to be one of the many occasions this season that people confuse the identity of the two young starlets.
