This week, EA Sports release the latest title in the FIFA franchise, as FIFA 17 hits the shelves around the world.

One of the most popular modes on the game is Career Mode, where fans can take over their favourite clubs and manage them for up to 15 years.

The mode revolves around growing and developing a team over the years, with each player given a 'potential' rating that they can reach during Career Mode.

With that in mind, here are West Ham's top Under-21 talents on FIFA 17 with regards to their potential ratings, as seen on sofifa.com...

Reece Oxford
Overall rating: 66
Potential rating: 86

West Ham's top young talent in real life, it's no surprise to see Oxford given such a high potential rating in FIFA 17. Capable of growing to 86 overall – among the best defensive midfielders in the game – Oxford should be a player to build around if you start Career Mode as West Ham, whilst his versatility to play at centre back should come in handy too.

Edimilson Fernandes
Overall rating: 70
Potential rating: 83

Swiss attacking midfielder Fernandes joined West Ham from Sion back in August, and arrived with fans not really knowing a great deal about him, other than that he's Gelson Fernandes' cousin. FIFA players may remember him from last year's game as one of the top young playmakers available, and his potential rating of 83 means he's a key player for the future for West Ham.

Ashley Fletcher
Overall rating: 66
Potential rating: 78

Striker Fletcher joined the Hammers from Manchester United over the summer, and has flashed ability in a number of substitute appearances. With great pace and strength, Fletcher could make an instant impact for West Ham in FIFA 17, but at just 20 he's one for the future still. With a potential rating of 78, Fletcher may not become anything special, but should grow to become a decent Premier League striker.

Martin Samuelsen
Overall rating: 64
Potential rating: 78

Norwegian winger Samuelsen has excited West Ham fans with his displays for the development squad, and he starts FIFA 17 out on loan at Blackburn Rovers. A player with great dribbling and ball control, Samuelsen can develop to 78 overall, and whilst that means he won't be the next Dimitri Payet, he will be a solid contributor throughout Career Mode.

Reece Burke
Overall rating: 64
Potential rating: 77

Centre back Burke starts out on loan at Wigan, but should become part of a defensive rotation in Career Mode. With a potential of 77, Burke may never be a key player and could only serve as a depth option in defence, but he's worth keeping and developing over the course of the game.

Which West Ham player will you build your team around on FIFA 17?
