Premier League pair Manchester United and Sunderland have expressed an interest in Jesper Karlsson, according to Swedish reports.

Premier League pair Manchester United and Sunderland are tracking teenage striker Jesper Karlsson, according to Swedish publication Fotboll Direkt.
The report claims that Karlsson, who plays for Falkenbergs FF, is also attracting interest from continental sides Ajax, Feyenoord and FC Copenhagen.
All of the above are said to have registered concrete interest in the 18-year-old, with United making contact at the start of the international break.

It is claimed the Red Devils will continue to monitor his progress during the Allsvenskan’s latter stages.
Karlsson has scored four goals and made two in 16 league outings this season – his first at senior level – and could cost between 6-8 million Swedish Krona (£500,000 – £700,000).
According to Håkan Nilsson, Falkenbergs’ sporting director, the club will not block Karlsson’s exit should he wish to move on.
“The whole time I’ve been in Falkenberg we have never stopped anyone,” Nilsson told Fotboll Direkt. “If Jesper wants to leave we will not stand in the way but we need to be understood too and make the best deal possible. It is obvious.”

A move to either United or Sunderland would see Karlsson follow in the footsteps of fellow Swedish strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Joel Asoro.
Like the Mackems man, Karlsson has also been capped by his country at youth level, scoring once in five appearances for Sweden Under-18s.
