Dembele, who joined Celtic in the summer transfer window after leaving Championship Fulham at the end of last season, was the star of the show in Glasgow.
The 20-year-old forward scored a hat-trick in what his first Old Firm appearance.
The France Under-20 international was impressed with the atmosphere at Celtic Park and has spoken highly of the fans.
"The atmosphere is something I have never seen,” Dembele told BBC Radio Scotland (14:25). “I don't think I will see something like this in my career. I am happy for us and I am happy for the fans and the whole club that we got a victory."
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Celtic Park, hosts Celtic had 57% of the possession, took 20 shots of which nine were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Rangers had 43% of the possession, took six shots of which two were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
