The West Bromwich Albion boss was speaking to the press on Friday.

West Bromwich Albion fans can sense what’s coming.
Already the bookies’ favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave his post this season, Tony Pulis’ successor has now been lined up according to reports this week.
Former England – and Baggies – boss Roy Hodgson is the man reportedly being courted and the 69-year-old’s return could happen fairly soon if Pulis carries on the way he has been.

On Friday, the Welshman responded to comments made by new chairman John Williams, who said that Pulis got the five players he wanted – Nacer Chadli, Brendan Galloway, Matt Phillips, Allan Nyom and Hal Robson-Kanu – during the recent transfer window.
Pulis, though, has insisted this was not the case, with a number of higher-profile targets slipping through the net.
“The five players that John has said I was happy with, they weren’t the marquee players I wanted to bring in,” he told the Express & Star. “But we’ve brought the players in and we’ve got to get on with it.

“There’s all sort of different reasons why those players weren’t brought in, but to try and say they were the five that I wanted, that’s wrong.
“I’ve spoken to John about it and I think he accepts that.”
Meanwhile, Pulis is adamant he will not resign from his post, as he did at previous club Crystal Palace on the eve of the 2014-15 season.
And the West Brom fans can see exactly where this is heading.
