A number of former players have been commenting ahead of the match and now Rangers defender Amoruso has gone on to give his thoughts regarding the blockbuster clash.

Amoruso has stated that the return of Rangers to the top flight is ‘nice’ and added that his former side will make it difficult for Celtic.

He told Tutto Mercato, "For the championship, it's nice to come back this race but we have already beaten Celtic in the Scottish Cup lately. Two years ago, it went wrong as the Rangers were beaten 4-1.

“After years in the lower divisions, this season we are back in the Premiership and will try to make life difficult for Celtic."

The Italian then went on to praise the duo of Kenny Miller and Joey Barton, and added that the two players could prove to be the difference on Saturday.

He continued, “Kenny is physically good, trains well, hasn’t lost the habit of scoring goals and is doing fine. He gives the depth and the unpredictability that makes the difference.”

“He (Barton) has to do everything to be a beacon for the midfield. When you wear that shirt you have to give something more. Joey is one who never gives up.”
