According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Porto star Yacine Brahimi is on Merseyside ahead of completing a move to Everton.

The Blues look like they could be one of the busier clubs on deadline day after a relatively quiet summer.

One man who could be a late arrival late is Brahimi, who has been linked with a move for most of the summer.

A report from the Mirror on Saturday claimed the Blues were confident of securing his signature after continued talks with the Portuguese giants about a move.

They claimed the player had been swayed by the ambition shown by Farhad Moshiri after it initially appeared he would turn them down as he sought a club with Champions League football.

And now it appears that he is edging even closer to completing his switch to Goodison Park, with O Jogo reporting that he is on Merseyside to complete the move.

According to the newspaper, the deal could end up costing Everton €40 million, around £34 million, a price that would surpass the club record they paid for Yannick Bolasie earlier in this summer transfer window.
