A football fan from Bolton has won an incredible 20 leg acca in dramatic fashion.

Rio Ave FC are a modest Portuguese football club who sit in mid table in the Primeira Liga, having never won a major trophy in their history and playing in front of just over 3,000 fans most weeks.
However, to one man in Bolton, Rio Ave are a special club, who just won him over £12,000 from a £2 bet in quite extraordinary fashion.
With 20 legs from 14 different countries, the successful acca is the first victorious 20 leg accumulator of the season, and the gamblers picks included teams with odds ranging from 1/33 to 10/11.

Only one English fixture was included, which saw Manchester City backed against West Ham.
The other countries featured on the acca included Spain, Belgium, the USA, The Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, The Czech Republic, Greece, Russia and Argentina.
Many of the betters picks came in comfortably, with 3 of the 20 winning by four-goal margins, but ultimately the bet came down to Rio Ave vs CD Feirense, a game which was tied at 0-0 in injury time.

In front of a crowd of just 2,268 people though, an unlikely scorer in the form of on-loan left back Rafa Soares was the hero.
His 91st minute strike gave Rio Ave their first victory of the season and made one Boltonian a very happy man indeed.
Bookies Ladbrokes commended the successful bet, commenting, "It's no mean feat picking that many winners across the world on the same day."
