Croatia's Ante Coric during training
According to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti, Tottenham Hotspur offered €15m (£12.8m) for Dinamo Zagreb playmaker Ante Coric over the weekend.
Spurs have only snapped up defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama and striker Vincent Janssen this summer, and manager Mauricio Pochettino may feel that he needs more new faces ahead of the club's Champions League campaign.

Another playmaker to challenge Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli may be targeted, and a Croatian starlet is being heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane ahead of Wednesday's transfer deadline.
Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti report that Spurs made a bid for Dinamo Zagreb playmaker Ante Coric over the weekend, with their offer coming in at around €15m (£12.8m).

Coric, 19, has emerged as one of the top young talents in Croatian football alongside the likes of Marko Rog and Marko Pjaca, and whilst those two have earned big moves to Napoli and Juventus respectively, their former Dinamo team-mate Coric remains at the club.
A talented playmaker with great technique and dribbling ability, Coric looks to be a star of the future, so it's no surprise that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to land his signature.

It's stated that Dinamo haven't yet decided whether to accept Tottenham's offer, but if they do then a deal would be expected to go through before the transfer window slams shut in just over two days.
Tottenham had success with Croatian players in the past, with Luka Modric, Vedran Corluka and Niko Kranjcar all impressing at White Hart Lane, and may now hope that Coric can continue that success in the near future.
