Rangers youngster Jordan Thompson has told Deadlinenews.co.uk that he enjoyed his time at Manchester United.
The 19-year-old midfielder joined Rangers in the summer of 2015 after being released by Manchester United.
The Northern Irish youngster was on the books of United from 2011 until 2015 and was part of their youth system.
The teenager has reflected on the time he met former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
“It was brilliant being at Manchester United,” Thompson told Deadlinenews.co.uk. “Every day you were training with better players and it was a brilliant way to start my career."
“When I first moved over I went in to see Sir Alex Ferguson before one of the matches to have a wee meeting with him and he just told me that Northern Irish boys do well at the club," added the youngster. "It was good and my mum was just gobsmacked when I told her.”
Thompson has played for the Rangers first team since his move to the Gers in the summer of 2015. However, the youngster is not ready yet to feature for Mark Warburton’s side each and every week.
Earlier this month, the 19-year-old moved to Raith Rovers on loan until January. The teenage midfielder should be trying his best to make the most of his spell at the Scottish Championship club and get as much playing time as possible.
Thompson grew up as a Rangers fans, as stated on the Scottish Premiership club’s official website.
