The veteran Colombian’s 78th-minute strike gave RSL a 1-0 win over Supporters’ Shield leaders FC Dallas at Rio Tinto Stadium to move them up to third place in the Western Conference.

CB – Drew Moor (Toronto FC)

The experienced centre-back scored a diving header in the first half of Toronto’s 3-1 win at the Philadelphia Union, while also racking up six clearances and two interceptions. With nine regular season matches left, he looks like the favourite for the Defender of the Year award.

The former Derby County midfielder netted SKC’s second goal against Vancouver from the penalty spot and served up the corner that led to Jacob Peterson’s 39th-minute opener.

AM – Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders)

The former Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur forward opened the scoring against Portland with a 62nd-minute spot-kick before going on to double their advantage 10 minutes from time after linking up with Roldan on the left and firing a low shot past Timbers keeper Jake Gleeson from just outside the box. He now has five goals in his last three games.

LW – David Accam (Chicago Fire)

The Ghanaian winger scored Chicago’s second goal at Montreal and provide the assist for the third to help end their 36-match winless run on the road.

ST – Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC)

The ex-Sunderland striker made it four goals in five games when he completed the scoring in Toronto’s win at Philadelphia after muscling off Union defender Ken Tribbett and blasting a powerful shot into the bottom corner. He was also involved in the build-up to Sebastian Givovinco’s 18th-minute opener and proved a constant menace to the Union defence with his strength and work rate up top.
