Villa’s right-back search has been whittled down to Tottenham and Leicester players having been priced out of move for Wolves youngster.

Aston Villa are considering a £3 million move for Tottenham Hotspur defender DeAndre Yedlin after deeming Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Dominic Iorfa too expensive, reports the Telegraph.
Villa are also said to have eyes on Leicester City’s Ritchie De Laet and will seek to add one or the other before the transfer window closes this month.

The report claims Iorfa, an England Under-21 international, was frequently scouted by Villa’s director of recruitment Paddy Riley, but Wolves’ recent takeover ensures they have little need to sell.

Both Yedlin and De Laet on the other hand are out of favour at their respective clubs, with the former reportedly cleared to leave White Hart Lane this window and the Belgian having spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship runners-up, Middlesbrough.
Earlier this week, Villa were linked with a move for Yedlin’s teammate Kieran Trippier, however, the former Burnley right-back is unlikely to be let go having featured semi-regularly in Mauricio Pochettino’s rotation system last season.

One potential obstacle in the Villans’ Yedlin pursuit could be interest from elsewhere, including the Premier League, with Hull City said to be among the American’s suitors (Mail).
