Erik Lamela grabbed a second-half equaliser as Tottenham Hotspur held Everton to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League opener at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Ross Barkley fired Everton ahead after just four minutes as the Toffees seemed to dominate what looked a very one-sided first half on Merseyside.
But Lamela cancelled out Barkley's opener on the hour mark in a much-improved second-half showing from Tottenham.
Given it was Ronald Koeman's first match as Everton boss, this always represented a very tricky opener for Spurs, but manager Mauricio Pochettino might have taken a point before kick-off.

One worry for Tottenham might be around how uninvolved Harry Kane looked, though obviously it is very, very early in the season.
Plus, it took Kane - who won the Premier League's Golden Boot last term - some nine games to find the net at the beginning of last season so nobody of a Spurs persuasion will be overly worried about his performance here.
