A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…
According to a report from French newspaper L’Equipe, Tottenham Hotspur could still bring winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to White Hart Lane this summer, despite previous claims the move has collapsed.
But there is a slight twist, with the latest report claiming the deal could now initially be on loan with an £11.2million purchase clause in 12 months.
Tottenham are said to be keen on the move but there is no sign yet as to whether the player’s current club Marseille would agree to the new terms, after reportedly turning their back on negotiations earlier this month.
What that means for the future of Clinton N’Jie – who looked set to head in the other direction on a temporary deal of his own – remains to be seen.
In other news, Belgian website Nieuwsblad is reporting that Tottenham want £20million for winger Nacer Chadli this summer.
The winger struggled for significant game time last season and it would be no surprise to see him move on, especially if N’Koudou or another new wide option does ultimately arrive, but £20million is a significant outlay for a club.
If Tottenham pull it off it would be yet another example of canny business by chairman Daniel Levy and the restof the Spurs hierarchy.
And finally, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the Telegraph about the imminent departure of the club’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell.
“We will carry on and we need to finish the three weeks working together and try to do the best business for the club, and then we will see what happens,” Pochettino said.
