Celtic won 2-1 against Astana in Champions League qualification yesterday.

Eoghan O’Connell continues to earn praise from Celtic fans, after he put in another excellent performance in the Champions League.
O’Connell helped Celtic pick up a 2-1 victory over Astana last night, with his performance at the back being particularly impressive.
The young defender earned praise from Brendan Rodgers through his displays over pre-season, and he seems to be rapidly rising up the selection order at Celtic Park.

O’Connell was handed the nod to start in Celtic’s crucial Champions League tie yesterday, and he did not let anybody down.
The centre-back was robust in his approach, and Celtic fans were raving about his performance.
Thought O'Connell and Lustig were solid tonight. The calmness Toure will bring is already noticeable. Tierney outstanding as per usual.

O'Connell was MOTM for me! He has came into such a big game and played with so much composure, he didn't put a foot wrong the whole game.

What a performance by Celtic's Eoghan O'Connell. Great solidity and composure, even under pressure. The guy has a lot of talent.

Still buzzing from last night... #Celtic 100% like to do things the hard way. Thought Brown, O'Connell and Janko were very good last night

Defence was so solid all game but obviously conceded such a Celtic goal. O'Connell is proving me wrong so far, all sorts of composure

Celtic won against Astana in dramatic fashion, as they required a last minute penalty to progress.
The Bhoys had taken the lead through Leigh Griffiths, but they were pegged back when Astana scored in the second half.
However, with the match seemingly heading into extra-time, Moussa Dembele scored from the penalty spot to put Rodgers’ men into the next round.
