According to the Mirror (live transfer thread, July 8th at 23:37), Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG are set to table a £35 million bid for Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante.
The report claims that the France international has become the numer one target for the wealthy Chinese side and they will look to bring him in by offering Leicester a fee which will blow away their rivals.
Kante arrived as an unknown quantity from French side Caen last summer, yet it didn’t take too long for Premier League observers to start showering him with deserved praise.

The defensive midfielder was absolutely key in helping the Foxes win the Premier League title last term, and many felt he was without doubt the best player in the league over the course of the campaign.
Kante’s rise to prominence has seen him become a full international with France, and right now he will be gearing up for the upcoming European Championship final against Portugal on Sunday.

The Mirror go on to say that Premier League Arsenal and Chelsea plus the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Real Madrid have all made enquiries for the Leicester man this summer.
However, the club have remained firm over their desire to keep him though it will be interesting to see what sort of figures they hold out for should the big-money bids from the Far East begin to arrive.
