Veretout arrived at Aston Villa from Ligue 1 side Nantes in the summer for a fee reported by the Daily Mail to be in the region of £8 million.

He was one of many recruits from French football last summer at Villa Park. However, he failed to gel at the club and Villa ended up finishing bottom of the Premier League.
Playing in the Championship does not seem to appeal to the player and now the La Liga outfits are set to offer him a move to the Spanish top-flight.
