According to a report in the Chronicle, Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has told his agent to find him a new club.
Wijnaldum appears likely to leave Newcastle this summer, following the Tynesiders’ relegation to the Championship.
The Dutch midfielder was Newcastle’s top scorer last season, and he seems to feel that he is capable of playing in the top flight.
Wijnaldum has already been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, and Roma are also said to be interested in the 25-year-old.
Wijnaldum is said to be keen on a move to the Italian side, but Newcastle are determined not to lose him on the cheap.
Wijnaldum remains under contract at Newcastle, and the North East side insist that they are not under any pressure to sell their prized assets following relegation.
Newcastle want over £20 million if they are to sell Wijnaldum, as they look to make a profit on the attacking midfielder.
Moussa Sissoko is the only other Newcastle player to have suggested that his future lies away from St. James’ Park so far this summer, with Rafael Benitez determined to keep the bulk of his squad together.
