The Liverpool midfielder put in a tidy performance in midfield for Wales against England.

England got their first win at a major tournament in four years in the most dramatic of fashions against Wales in Lens on Thursday afternoon as Daniel Sturridge scored a last-gasp winner to seal a 2-1 victory.
For Liverpool fans it was undoubtedly a cathartic moment as the man who struggled so much with injury this season delivered on the biggest stage.
Reds supporters had plenty to keep an eye on throughout the match, with Adam Lallana also producing another encouraging display in support of Harry Kane before he was replaced in the second half.
However, aside from Sturridge’s golden moment, the aspect of that match which got the Anfield faithful talking the most was the performance of Joe Allen in the Welsh midfield.

The popular star put in an accomplished display in the middle of the park and though he never really managed to help Wales grab the game by the scruff of the neck, he looked every inch a player good enough to be fighting for a place in Liverpool’s starting XI next season.
However, with just a year left on his current deal at Melwood the 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, with a return to hometown former club Swansea City touted as the most likely.
Nothing has suggested that Allen himself wants to move, and he appeared almost to be playing for his Liverpool future as well as his country on Thursday with a typically passionate display.
Watching his impressive showing, Liverpool fans urged Jurgen Klopp and the club’s hierarchy to prevent a move away from happening by signing him up to stay on at Anfield.
