Leeds United have formed a new partnership with Greenpeace.
Leeds have entered a new partnership with the leading global environmental organisation, as announced on the club’s official website.
The link-up will see the global environmental organisation’s logo on the front of all junior replica Leeds shirts.
This is the first time that the West Yorkshire club will use their junior replica shirts to promote a charitable cause, and the first time the 'Greenpeace' name will appear on a football shirt.
Former Leeds midfielder Couzens has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to this unique link-up and has praised the club.
What a great thing Leeds are doing hear!! Let's see if this is talked about by the negative lovers out there!! https://t.co/r42NS0ySJ3— andy couzens (@andycuz23) June 11, 2016
Leeds are one of the biggest clubs of England, but there has been negativity around Elland Road for a while.
Many fans are not happy with club chairman Massimo Cellino, and yet another manager was recently let go.
The team’s performances on the pitch during the 2015-16 campaign were also less than impressive.
Leeds have become an also-ran in the Championship, but perhaps next season they could end up in the top six.
