People News: Schroders, ANZ

Schroders has hired former Nomura Chief Financial Officer Shigesuke Kashiwagi as its country head for Japan.

Bloomberg News reports that Kashiwagi will start on July 1, succeeding Guy Henriques, the U.K. asset manager said Friday in an e-mailed statement. Kashiwagi, 56, was CFO at Nomura until the brokerage reshuffled its management in March. Henriques will relocate to London.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Sam Tuck, a senior currency strategist at ANZ Bank New Zealand in Auckland, said he is leaving the company to join the country’s sovereign wealth fund.

“Today is my last day at ANZ,” he wrote in an e-mail Friday. Tuck, 38, said via instant message he will join the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.
