HITC Sport understands that Roberto Di Matteo wants Scottish ace Graham Dorrans.

Roberto Di Matteo wants to make Graham Dorrans one of his first signings after taking charge at Aston Villa, HITC Sport understands.
The 29-year-old midfielder has just been relegated with Norwich City, but rather than help in their push back to the top-flight he is set to make the move to the Second City.

Dorrans worked with Di Matteo previously at West Bromwich Albion and the two were instrumental in their promotion from the Championship, and they look keen to pair up again.
Dorrans does not see eye to eye with current Norwich City boss Alex Neil and would relish the chance to move on from the Norfolk side – who will let him leave at the right price.

Di Matteo has also taken on Steve Clarke as his number two, someone who is also a big fan of Dorrans – as they also worked well during their time together at the Hawthorns.
A source close to the deal told HITC Sport: “A deal is in the offing, the new manager is a big fan of the player and he knows he wants to come.”
