According to a report from The Mirror, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has rejected the offer of a new contract to stay at Tottenham Hotspur.
Lloris, 29, joined Spurs way back in 2012 having impressed in France with both Nice and Lyon, and he’s become one of the top goalkeepers in the world ever since.

The France international – who will be starting at this summer’s European Championships – has racked up more than 150 appearances for Tottenham, and was a huge factor in Spurs’ superb defensive record this past season.
With Champions League football returning to White Hart Lane, Lloris is one player that Mauricio Pochettino would love to build his team around for years to come – but there may be a problem with that particular idea.

The Mirror report that Lloris has been offered a new contract to stay in North London, but he has rejected the deal as he wants more money, putting him on similar wages to other world-class goalkeepers.
It’s claimed that chairman Daniel Levy had been pushing ahead with negotiations, and whilst Spurs must now come back with a better offer to their star goalkeeper, it’s believed that Levy is still hopeful of getting a deal agreed in the near future.

Lloris’ current deal expires in 2019, meaning he still has three years left – but with a deal allegedly rejected, clubs like Paris Saint-Germain or even Real Madrid could make a move for the Frenchman this summer.
