The Everton defender put in another impressive display in England’s win over Australia.
Everton defender John Stones was in fine form as England beat Australia on Friday evening.
England took on Australia at the Stadium of Light in the second of their warm up games ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.
There are still major questions to be answered before Roy Hodgson’s team travel to France, with the centre of defence chief among the England bosses thoughts.
He is yet to decide on who will be his first choice pairing, with Gary Cahill, John Stones and Chris Smalling competing for the two places.
Stones staked a claim with an impressive display against Turkey, and continued that with another strong showing against Australia on Friday.
