The German goalkeeper is perfect for The Toffees.

Everton will be looking to improve nearly every position over the summer after a disappointing league campaign under the now departed manager Roberto Martinez.

One area which is in desperate need of improvement is the goalkeeping position.

Everton have lost veteran Tim Howard, who was out of form for the past 12 months anyway. Joel Robles is currently between the sticks, but it is not clear if he is cut out to be the number one goalkeeper at Goodison Park.

Which is why the club must make a move for Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler this summer.

The 27-year-old was sensational this season for Hannover, although his brilliant form was not enough to keep the side in the Bundesliga. He has already confirmed that he will be leaving the club this summer and he has a release clause of just €3.5 million (£2.7 million), as reported by ESPN.

A former Manchester United youngster he is quite simply the bargain buy of the summer for whoever can get hold of him at that price.

Zieler, who was part of Germany’s World Cup winning squad, is an exceptional shot-stopper and a safe pair of hands between the sticks.

Everton may have money to spend this summer but in the goalie department they needn’t – as they will struggle to find better than this German bargain.
