According to a report on the Premier League’s official site, Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy was the fastest player in England’s top flight this past season.

Vardy clocked a speed of 35.44km/h in Leicester’s match against West Ham United back in 2015.

No other player in the Premier League could quite match that speed, but plenty got close.

Manchester United’s Anthony Martial got up to a speed of 35.4km/h, while Swansea City’s Modou Barrow and Jeffery Schlupp were in third and fourth places respectively.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker was the man who made up the top five.

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin sprinted the most of any player in the Premier League this season, with his fellow Gunners full-back Nacho Monrael in the second most frequent sprinter.

Walker also featured in the top ten of that list, with his Spurs teammate Dele Alli involved too.
